Anyone who appreciates having you around is not going to tell you to go out and buy a motorcycle.
They wouldn’t recommend you jump out of a perfectly good airplane or bungee jump off a bridge. Your Mom isn’t going to suggest you go shark cage diving off the coast of South Africa.
These things are risky. They are dangerous. The potential for failure and consequence is just too great.
And because the people who love you are the ones responsible for protecting you from yourself.
Which is ultimately why they will hold you back if you let them.
You are responsible for your own decisions and the consequences that follow. But every time you make a “safe” decision that is not your own, you give up an experience. You give up a life lesson and a truer understanding of who you are and what you want out of life.
If you want to live a safe life, listen to those who love you.
But if you want to live your life, buy the ticket, take the ride.
